Somebody's dog has been complaining about the jackrabbits around the base. Are there really that many here? I haven't actually seen any on my walks, but I've been hearing lots of giggling at night. Maybe that's them, but they don't sound like rabbits. The ones I'm used to are dumb as dirt, but they are fairly inoffensive. I suppose it is possible that desert animals are more obnoxious. They'd at least have to be a little craftier.

It has been nearly twenty-four hours since my arrival here, and nearly as long since I have harmed anyone. The men I crushed, they are still alive, yes? I hope this is the case, and I take it as a fortunate sign.

The guards here seem... lax, almost. I mean no insult, here, I am merely worried about this facility's ability to keep everyone safe from me. Also, I have heard talk about letting me out among the rest of the populace? Again, I pray this is simple rumour. Currently, I believe I am too tired to do any real harm, but in a day or two? Who can say what havoc I may wreak.

For your own sakes, please, this cell in which you have placed me is all the breathing room I shall ever need. I cannot think of a single good reason you might have to let me out of here. Please, trust me. It is better that I remain confined.

If possible, I would like to ask a favor. Please send my apologies to those men and women I injured during my transport to this new bunker. Had I been in my right mind, I would never hae considered harming anyone. In all honesty, I am sorry and ashamed over what I have done. I would like to thank those guards who were fast with their weapons. You did an admirable job of bringing me down.
